Laki 131 Ltd is implementing project BGENERGY-2.003-0020 “Improving Energy Efficiency at Laki 131 Ltd.” with support from the “Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Security” Programme, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
The overall goal is to deploy energy-efficiency measures and technologies to optimize industrial processes and boost competitiveness. The specific goal is to raise Laki 131’s energy efficiency through energy-saving technologies, measures, and systems, contributing to sustainable environmental performance and reduced impact.
The company operates in a highly energy-intensive sector. Project activities will improve technologies and resource efficiency, reducing energy costs and emissions of CO2 and other pollutants, while enabling further initiatives in energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction. Partnership with IDN Research AS (Norway) strengthens donor relations and knowledge exchange.
Planned measures
- Robotic system for mechanical cleaning of aluminum castings.
- Dryer for silicone seals powered by waste heat from compressors.
- Rooftop photovoltaic plant.
- Devices for monitoring and managing generated energy.
Expected results: energy efficiency measures in production, lower electricity consumption, more efficient resource use, and reduced CO2 emissions.
Total value: 378,144.00 BGN, of which 283,512.40 BGN is grant funding.
